LASERFOCUS2

For the past five years the lawfully wedded duo of Grant & Rachel Evans have been dispensing generous amounts of drone and synth chillers on their label Hooker Vision Records. With releases by their own projects (Motion Sickness Of Time Travel, Crippling, Quiet Evenings, etc) and a proficient crew of worldwide jammers, they have racked up well over 100 releases, mostly on cassette. In Episode #2 of our Tiny Mix Tapes show Laser Focus we talked with them about their home/noise lives and played tapes from the HV catalog by Coyote Image Classic, Cliffsides, Sparkling Wide Pressure, Crippling, Motion Sickness Of Time Travel, and Rambutan. Specifically:

– Coyote Image Classic s/t 2xCS (HV129) from 2012
– Cliffsides “Liquid Mirros” C72 (HV091) from 2011
– Sparkling Wide Pressure “Pretending Eternal” C38 (HV127) from 2012
– Crippling / Digtal Natives split C24 (HV123) from 2012
– Motion Sickness Of Time Travel “Eclipse Studies” C41 (HV133) from 2013
– Rambutan “Partial Wires” C30 (HV101) from 2011

TAKE THE QUIZ

One of Grant & Rachel’s projects changes it’s name with each release while keeping a consistent word structure. We put together a list with some of the names that they have used, and some that we just made up. Try and figure out which are real. Get em all correct and win absolutely nothing.
